How do I create a new 'Item Class' in Acumatica?

Definition of an Item class and how to Create a new item class within Acumatica

Item Class:

• Item Class Definition
  • Key item category field which is a unique combination of Category + Sub-Category labels found in Leaflink
    • ex: EDIBLES&INGE combination of Category + Sub-Category labels fo STIBLES-GUMMIES / CARTRIDGES-DISPOSABLE / CONCENTRATES-LIVERESIN
    • Important to note that these are not brand exclusive. This is required if a new form factor or a unique category/sub-category (i.e., EDIBLES&INGESTIBLES-GUMMIES spans multiple brands)
• Creating a new Item Class
  • Navigate to 'Segmented Keys' object via search bar (adding to favorites is helpful here!)
  • Select 'SUBACCOUNT' in the Segmented Key ID field and select '2 - Product Line' via Segment ID link
  • Select '+' to add new Class, insert value and combination of Category + Sub-Category in the description
    • Click save
