How do I add a parent relationship to a customer?

Locate the desired customer and update customer settings to add a parent account relationship

Adding Parent relationship to Customer:

  • Navigate to the 'Customers' list via the 'Sales Orders' or 'Receivables' object

    • Select 'Customers' under the 'Profiles' subsection
    • Search for the desired customer account you would like to include under a Parent account and click the 'Customer ID' to open up the customer profile settings
       
      • Navigate to the 'Billing' subsection
      • Select 'Parent Account' under the selection box and select the desired Parent account customer profile to assign as the parent account
    • Note:  If a new parent needs to be created, then they should be created in the customer screen first and they will appear in this box
