      CannaBI: Diving 101

      This SOP goes through an example of how to "dive" in CannaBI in order to demonstrate the mechanics of CannaBI's powerful "diving" feat

      How to Dive into Data in CannaBI SOP

       

      1. What is “Diving”?
        1. In CannaBI, “Diving” refers to the built in ability to dig deeper into the data by simply clicking on a specific data point
      2. What can I “dive” into?
        1. Anything! All figures on CannaBI are “diveable” from overview to KPIs you are able to dig deeper to discover details in the data. 
      3. As an example we will dive into the top selling territory in CA to see what the top selling brand is, what their top selling retailer is, and what SKUs that retailer is purchasing
        1. Navigate to the Overview tile in your CannaBI dashboard
        2. With a time range of “Year to Date” we can see the top selling territory is Los Angeles
        3. When you click on a county, an analysis window will appear (for this example I am clicking on on the red Los Angeles county, the pop-up analysis window below shows the top selling brands in LA county)
        4. We can continue to “dive” into this data, you can dive into any of the brands above by clicking on the brand name. 
          1. In this example; I have discovered that Los Angeles is the top performing territory and Space Coyote is our top selling brand in that territory. 
          2. I still want to know; what is Space Coyote’s top retailer and what SKUs have they purchased? To do that we will click on “Space Coyote”
        5. Once you click on the brand (Space Coyote in the image below) you want to dive into, you will get a menu of dimensions you can dive into. To see what retailers have purchased the brand (Space Coyote) scroll down in the pop-up menu and select “Site
        6. After selecting “site” on the pop-up menu, a list of the sites that have purchased the brand (Space Coyote) will appear
        7. From here you are able to select any site and the same pop-up menu will appear. You can dive into any dimension. For the purpose of this example I will click on “Grassdoor Depot - Vail (II)” and scroll down in the pop-up menu to select “product”
        8. Diving into product will give me a list of the SKUs that the store (Grassdoor Depot - Vail (II)) has purchased from the brand (Space Coyote) in order from highest to lowest net sales
        9. You can export this list by clicking the Excel or PDF icon
      4. This is only one of many examples of how “Diving” is useful but hopefully you understand the mechanics of a “dive” 
        1. Advice: Click on everything in CannaBI, be curious and see how many questions you can answer by performing a dive in CannaBI
